Product Preparation
All surfaces must be clean, dry and free of grease, oil, paint and/or sealers.
Apply under dry conditions only, do not apply outside if rain is expected within 12 hours. Air and surface temperature should be between 50° and 90° F for 24 hours following application.
If there is a previous waterproofer on the basement wall, scrape off any obvious flaking material with a wire brush. Any loose material needs to be removed for the new coating to adhere and perform to its standards. Use a vaccuum or Shop Vac® to remove any additional dirt or debris prior to application. There can be some old waterproofer/coating on the wall, as long as it is sound (clean and dry).

Product Application
Do not thin this product.
Apply liberally for maximum bonding, stir the product thoroughly before and during application.
If your surface has corners or edges, coat those with your brush first, ensuring complete coverage of H&C Basement & Masonry Waterproofer. Fill the surface's pores thoroughly and evenly, covering the entire surface with the roller, applying liberally.
Two coats are recommended for superior waterproofing, but if seepage occurs, apply a third coat to seal remaining pinholes.
